JAMB fixes 2020 UTME for March 14 to April 4

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has said that it will conduct the Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination between March 14 and April 4, 2020.

Before then, it added, the candidates would sit for an optional mock examination on February 18.

Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting held on Monday in Abuja, the JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede, said the registration for the UTME and Direct Entry would start simultaneously on January 13 and end on February 17, 2020.

“Candidates are expected to pay not more than N700 as service charge to the CBT centres for registration. Candidates with biometric abnormalities can only register at JAMB Headquarters in Abuja. They will also sit their examination at JAMB headquarters in Abuja.

When I was in 300L, UNILORIN, my hostel got robbed. The assailants hacked a girl with a cutlass on her cheek bone, very close to her eye. She was cooking when the attack happened & had a short skirt and tank top on. It was her distress call that brought me out. I took her to the school clinic. We got to the gate and we got delayed by the guards. They kept on asking for ID Card. I had my purse & my card was in it. But the girl was bleeding out, barely holding in place. I had to BEG for them to let us in. It was a mess. We got to the clinic & instead of them giving DY first Aid, they started asking us why she wasn't with her ID Card. The painful death of Unilorin best graduating Student.

Miss Taofiqah Oloriegbe of Faculty of Engineering, University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, billed to graduate as a Second Class Upper student in the forthcoming 33rd convocation of the institution, has died Few days to her graduation. She only complained about having pains in her hand and later died,” one of her friends said. Reacting to her death, the Public Relations Officer of the UNILORIN, Mr. Kunle Akogun, confirmed the death of the student through a text message. Akogun said, “The late Oloriegbe, a second class upper graduate, was billed to graduate on Saturday at the 33rd convocation of the UNILORIN.
