AT LAST. See who just displaced Bill Gates as world's richest man


Not like we were expecting this to happen but news is the world now has a new richest man. Bill gates' long reign since 1995 as the world's richest individual which was only interrupted briefly by the likes of Berkshire Hathaway's Warren Buffett and Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim has come to an end.




Amazon's Jeff Bezos, who owns about 17% of the company is now the world's richest man. It does not come as a big surprise as Bezos' has had significant increases in his net worth in the last few months.

A one per cent bump in the shares of Amazon on Thursday morning pushed the personal wealth of Bezos to about $91 Billion. This is a bit over the approimate of $90 Billion Bill Gates worth.
In further times, we do expect to see a bit of a tussle and overtake between both billionaires as their wealth is largely as a result of shares, and the prices of these shares are never stable.

STOP KILLING US: Alumnus Cries out to UNILORIN.

When I was in 300L, UNILORIN, my hostel got robbed. The assailants hacked a girl with a cutlass on her cheek bone, very close to her eye. She was cooking when the attack happened & had a short skirt and tank top on. It was her distress call that brought me out. I took her to the school clinic. We got to the gate and we got delayed by the guards. They kept on asking for ID Card. I had my purse & my card was in it. But the girl was bleeding out, barely holding in place. I had to BEG for them to let us in. It was a mess. We got to the clinic & instead of them giving DY first Aid, they started asking us why she wasn't with her ID Card. Why she was not properly dressed. DY was bleeding out. I tried calling LukmanShobowale who was the SU President then but he was unreachable. I called BodeWrites & he told me Eminent wasn't around. The painful death of Unilorin best graduating Student.

Miss Taofiqah Oloriegbe of Faculty of Engineering, University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, billed to graduate as a Second Class Upper student in the forthcoming 33rd convocation of the institution, has died Few days to her graduation. She only complained about having pains in her hand and later died,” one of her friends said. Reacting to her death, the Public Relations Officer of the UNILORIN, Mr. Kunle Akogun, confirmed the death of the student through a text message. Akogun said, “The late Oloriegbe, a second class upper graduate, was billed to graduate on Saturday at the 33rd convocation of the UNILORIN. She died on Monday after suddenly taking ill in the process of preparing for her upcoming graduation. May her gentle soul rest in peace.” It was gathered that the news of her death broke via a Facebook post of a family friend of the deceased.
