Two brothers arrested for serial rape using Uber taxi .

Men of Ogun State Police Command have arrested two Brothers Paul Jibunor ‘m’ 23 and Nkoenye Jibunor ‘m’ 28, for serial rape and robbery.

The two men were arrested on the 31st of December 2017 following a report from one Ijeoma, who complaint at Ojodu Abiodun Division that she was picked in a taxi by three men on 29/12/17 from Fela shrine Oregun Lagos to Iwo street Ojodu Abiodun on an agreed fees only for the men to forcefully dragged her down and have unlawful carnal knowledge of her after which they dispossessed her of her belongings. .

She stated further that she sighted the three men at Adebayo area of Ojodu and was able to recognize them. .

Upon her report, the DPO Ojodu Abiodun Sp Bamidele Job detailed detectives to the area where two of the suspects were arrested while the third one escaped. On interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime. .

Further investigation revealed that they have been involved in series of rape cases around that area, and that their mode of operation is to use uber taxi to pick their victims to an isolated area where such victims are raped in turn before dispossessing them of their belongings. .

Some of the victim’s properties such as necklace, phone and wrist watch were recovered from them.

When I was in 300L, UNILORIN, my hostel got robbed. The assailants hacked a girl with a cutlass on her cheek bone, very close to her eye. She was cooking when the attack happened & had a short skirt and tank top on. It was her distress call that brought me out. I took her to the school clinic. We got to the gate and we got delayed by the guards. They kept on asking for ID Card. I had my purse & my card was in it. But the girl was bleeding out, barely holding in place. I had to BEG for them to let us in. It was a mess. We got to the clinic & instead of them giving DY first Aid, they started asking us why she wasn't with her ID Card. The painful death of Unilorin best graduating Student.

Miss Taofiqah Oloriegbe of Faculty of Engineering, University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, billed to graduate as a Second Class Upper student in the forthcoming 33rd convocation of the institution, has died Few days to her graduation. She only complained about having pains in her hand and later died,” one of her friends said. Reacting to her death, the Public Relations Officer of the UNILORIN, Mr. Kunle Akogun, confirmed the death of the student through a text message. Akogun said, “The late Oloriegbe, a second class upper graduate, was billed to graduate on Saturday at the 33rd convocation of the UNILORIN.
